What is the point of setting up another message board which membership mainly consists of another community. Isn't this a bit pointless? Whilst i desire for four stars next to my name (may i congratulate Mr Harris on his dapper tailoring this fine evening) setting up a splinter message board dedicated to one particluar individual is a sign of desperation.

There is no point.

I set my message board up as an experiment, just to see if I could. I hoped to be able to use YaBB for a website I had to build for one of my modules. I hoped that some of my friends would use it, but as far as I know none of them have even looked at it. I advertise it on here just for a bit of activity.

Anyway, noone's forcing you to visit it, so don't complain.

The reason why i don't post much nowdays is because I have this annoying thing called a job and this other annoying thing called an overdraft. Its a deadly combination. Besides, I've put in my fair share of effort during the past years on this board and thought i'd throw a few suggestions how to make the board a bit more lively. Inspiring the next generation of trash-ites to rise from the ashes and be showered in gifts from fellow board members...but be weary of the gifts Eddie wants to shower you with.

I find it somewhat amusing how it is the element of 'regulars' complaining about newbies is the same element of 'regulars' which stood on the touchlines with their fingers up their arses a couple years ago whilst they watched the 'star posters' come up with all the innovative and creative ideas. If these same regulars continuing supressing anyone vaugley new who posts on this board, the place will fast become a wasteground of disgruntled old men talking posting ego grooming drivel such as 'whose better than...', 'I'm better than you', 'Do you realise who I am newbies?'.
