I don’t think we will ever see Dave back on the air, but it would be nice if we heard Chris and Dave do something in public again.

I heard them talking about Dom's wedding but missed the bit about Dave - as it's longer than a week ago I can't listen again, does anyone have the audio or can you give a bit more info about what was said? I hope things are a bit more positive now.. it's encouraging that Dave did that podcast recently & talked about Chris, and Chris has mentioned Dave a few times on air, and I doubt they would have done that if they were still as mad as the initial reports made out. I'd love them to reconcile and for Dave to at least feature as an occasional guest on the Radio X show. Having said that, I love the current show and it works really well so at least thats good!

I've got to say that Friday's show (23rd Sept '22) with Chris having a dicky belly throughout was hilarious. I'm so childish when it comes to stuff like that. I was in tears of laughter.

I was just thinking there, Chris has now been on the Radio X Breakfast Show longer than he was on Radio 1's Breakfast Show. 9 years compared to 8 and three quarters.

I saw in July that Rich Oliver mentioned he was recording new Chris Moyles jingles, I assumed they would be used on the 21st when it had been 9 years.

Turns out he deleted the Facebook post about it, but here's when I saw it from my history!

I know nobody posts here anymore but I thought it was worth noting that Pippa is leaving soon, almost ten years(!!) since the Radio X show started.

It meant some chat of the old show was brought up and I thought Moyles comments about Matt Fincham were interesting, if only because they didn't seem as barbed as past comments, just that Chris finds him a bit odd. Previously it seemed like he hated him

I don't think there have been many of Chris's ex-colleagues that he hasn't fallen out with at some point .

Disappointing that they haven’t replaced Pippa in the on-air crew, in particular the show really lacks something without a female voice.

It’s just the Chris and Dom show now really, none of the others really add much other than being younger hangers-on for Chris to make fun of. Maybe James, Captain Crapbeard etc. do a decent job as producers but the on-air chemistry isn’t the same. Obviously could never fully recapture the old days, though I liked Dave M when the current show started, he had his purpose as the “music guy” but presumably moved onto bigger things for that reason.

My reading of Dave Masterman and the show is that if it was up to Moyles at the start, he'd have just had Pippa, and Dave was foisted upon him having being XFM Breakfast producer for a number of years before Chris got there. I think he moved on to work with people he liked better - he was exec producing Dave Berry who he'd worked with at XFM, and then left that to produce Elis and John when they moved to the BBC even touring with them now. Dave was a great on air voice, and a good foil for Chris as being the Radio X company man, but in retrospect probably impressive he lasted as long on the show as he did.

Interesting now to see James is leaving - lots of speculation it's the beginning of the end, but I don't think that has much basis in reality- but I do think a rebalance of voices in the studio is probably needed

No Dom, not been mentioned no sound clips of him and Chris pretty much doing the show solo with odd interjections from captain and the two producers.
