For the second one he expands on the book more and adds new bits and scenes that arn't in the book but at the same time ignores others. Plus the film ends before the book does.

I hated the The Two Towers Film! Well, no. I thought it was generally very good, but there were enough plot and directional issues that I want to hit Peter Jackson Very hard...but, you know... :!:
