I don't like valentines day either. I did get my "bird" something which I know she'll like (no jokes, please ) and a card an all and we're going to the cinema, but I think in general its a bit sick-making.

I don't like most of the cards around (particularly the ones that over-use the 'L' word) and I think the valentine's day-specific presents ("love bugs") and stuf like that are really cheesy and pretty tacky. I think if you're gonna get something it should just be something normal and thoughtful that you could get for a birthday or christmas or something, and you just happen to give it on valentines day.

I like it BUT you're right, it is tacky and DAMN expensive!!!! I stupidly bought presents and then without realising it I agreed to take her out and pay for a meal tonight and I just know the meal will be at least £50 ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh. Makes you wish you could do what Chris suggested yesterday, have an argument and make up on Staurday ha ha

It's hard being separated for days on end but as you say it gets easier and you enjoy the time together more... Well that's my opinion anyway

Ow no I'd spend the money if it's a good cause, Valentines day isn't Birthdays, Christmas yes I spend loads of money making me broke. yeah, I realised that, what I wanna know is where you got a £1.25 Card from. All the card shops sell valentine's crads far more expensively than usual cards. My card was only of average size (Not big and tacky) and cost £4.50. I wish I could have found a nice one for £1.25!!!!!!!!
