anyone technical care to explain to me how removing the vocal works.

I know how to do it in Cool Edit yet I notice it works with some songs and not others. What does vocals 'monoed' mean?

think of it as putting your head in between two speakers. the instumentals are on the left and right channel, and the vocals are usually positioned dead center. This means when you invert the sliders the center track is lost

To be honsest you have to play around with the settings and some songs are much better at it than others. one of the reasons why this song sounds so good without vocals, is that it dosnt really have a beat. Radio1 would probably own hardware devices that do this job
