Talking about people not putting the effort in anymore, I watched shooting stars last night and if it weren't for the fact that the guests were different I would swear I was watching a repeat. The jokes have been the same for almost the entirity of this series. For example:

"She's football crazy, she's football mad..." etc.

Bob's funny dance while Vic's playing the keyboard.

The Animal challenge - they do either the unfunny box thing or the one where they have to get into the animal costume.

The Sweaty Fox is the only funny thing left on that show.

Yes that too. They do it every week. It was funny once, but after you've seen it 62 times it loses it's comedy value somewhat.

It's Because the BBC are forcing Reeves and Mortimer to do shooting stars.

on the media uk message board, some people suggested that the introduction of will as producer is encouraging the show to be less creative than before.

Unlike previous producers, will has been more used more as an on air personality rather than a producer whose main concern is to keep the show fresh and funny.

Wills main role should be helping to devise the impartial format for the show, making sure the show has decent on air guests like it should, develop new long running features, monitor feedback on items, etc. Whilst i enjoy will's on air character, some would say this is effecting his abilities to maintain the prodction of a vibrant lively show.

Some might say that i'm in no position to comment on this as i have little knowledge of the production of a radio show, and you would be very right. However, its would be fair to say that the show becomes stale at times due to the fact that not many new ideas and items are being generated. This is a shame as mr moyles and mr vitty are genuinley funny people but cannot be original in their responses if the material is similar to what it was the week before.

Moyles is already popular, but don't you get the feeling there are plenty of more potential listeners to be unearthed?

Finally, don't you think he should get together with a business minded fellah and create his own production company? Creating radio programming and maybe delve into into the music market (diffusion uk, anyone?). Moyles school of radio? Vitty's university of comedy higher education?

however some of the things they do on that show are cringeworthy. its amazing that men that age can possibly do/say such things IN FRONT OF PEOPLE, even if it is for t.v. football crazy, shes football mad..............................SHUT UP.

if it dosent change next week i'm giving up on shooting stars after almost 8 years of loyal service to it (yes it really has been going that long)
