aled - take all these comments in this thread and show them to chris. he needs to know what his biggest fans think of the show these days and he'll then know that changes should happen. no-one can have a bigger influence on the future of the show than moyles himself.

if there is one thing to take from the mediocre shows of late then its this, that the fans have spoken on what they want to hear, and know what is good on the show and what is bad, and its about time chris knows. take this as positive rather than negative feedback

no, Chris isn't the one to see this. it would be the producer of the show that would make the difference as it's him or her that would need to work on new items - not Chris.

Stevo wrote:i tought todays show was rather good actually.

The aled jones mockumentary was a bit poor, no offense. The comical storyline didn't make much sense and drifted all over the place. It would have been funny if you had created a story around dave pearce using monkeys to do his mixes for him. Saying that the closing lines involing genitalia had me laughing.

The jock-ass segment was a bit dodgy at first. How were you going to find some crazy scotsman to make this work? Luckily it came through with the first caller which had my team at work *beep* themselves with laughter.

I enjoyed the show today as it was one of those where the team tried something a bit different. It wasn't the normal chris, dave, will and aled scenario. It was nice to have some callers on the show, chris' abrasive reaction to their views and actions is highly entertaining and it seems a waste that this doesn't happen more often.

I'm baffled however as to why the 'office games' (which is kind of simlar to jock-ass) thingy was never developed into a regular feature? It embodies the whole attitude of the show, wouldn't take a lot of pre show preperation and would likely provide entertainment on most occasions.

fine then delete moyles and insert producer as necessary, its all the same.

or if you want to bypass having to take into account all the posts on this thread then just take stevo's. it says it all. congrats on a great show today. keep up the good work.

do the words "kiss" and "ass" mean anything to you people. They need to try harder, I dont want them resting on their laurels thinking what people want is whats on TV tonight and songs that sound like old songs.

If I ever made it as producer I promise to take all your opinion's into account, but I wouldn't hold my breath! Will's happy where he is and Chris likes having Will around. he's very good at what he does.

has anyone ever thought that it actually doesn't matter a damn what we think? most of us will pretty much listen to the show most of the time anyway, what really matters are the so called 'swing' listeners. we represent a very small minority and can pretty much be taken for granted. 'hardcore' fans of a show / series / anything will always complain about stuff, and think that somehow we deserve things to be the way we want them just because we've been a fan so long, when actually it doesn't make a blind bit of difference. im going to end this post now before i get caried away again.

i can only speak for myself but i think i have unrealistic expectations of the show nowadays because ive heard it in times when it was much better. i think like any ongoing thing it goes through good and bad patches. i dont know if its just me but i think it tends to improve during the summer (maybe down to big brother etc. but its not just that)..

In saying this the only good thing on the show at the moment is dave's tedious link...

Agreed, it helps no-one if you just get kiss-ass, but there's no need to be unfairly negative. If it's a poo show (as I know there has been) then by all means review it as such. But I know a lot more effort went into yesterday's show yet the review didn't reflect that. That was my gripe.

I like it that people on here can say to me something was shite or didn't work. I love it even more if they can say why it didn't work and what they would have prefered. But refusing to acknowledge something's good or funny simply because it might come across as "kiss ass" is just petty.

Are the reviews section an actual review of the show or a diary of personal enjoyment?

If it's content you want, then the next three weeks are going to get very good. We've (all) spent a lot of effort creating stuff to fill the next few weeks and we'll start to see things paying off soon.

Content wise this week will be good shows (new comp starting today) and the Comic Relief week is so full we're struggling to find room for it all in the show (I might need to change my name on here again soon!).

That producer is gonna be busy when he gets back. Surely chris will find out that we've been moaning and his shows have got poor reviews. grape vine?

Right here's the third and final reviewer to have my say.

Yesterday I wasn't putting too much effort into the review because I was doing other things at the time. As Stevo said the Micheal Jackson thing was a bit crap, funny in places, but it didn't really have a proper story that I could write about. The first link was mostly filled with the rambling about the Michael Jackson documentary, but as I didn't see it I couldn't really relate to what Chris was talking about and I didn't have an opinion of the programme. That's most of the first half hour gone.

The second half hour was where Jock-Arse was introduced. I wrote about the feature, but nobody rang in until after 4 when I stop reviewing. I expected Sam to write something about it, the whole thing was pretty funny, especially when the caller swore.

I think it was a bit unfair of Bob to write what he did, and I don't really think it was a fair reflection of the show.

One gripe I do have about the show at the minute, is when Chris waffles on about a TV programme he saw last night. Like I said earlier if I had have seen the Michael Jackson documentary then I might have found the first link more entertaining and I might of had had more to write about it. Unfortunately 90% of people probably didn't see the documentary, so like me they would have found the first link fairly boring. This also goes for when Chris fills an entire half hour with bilge about Footballer's Wives. Most of us aren't interested because we don't watch it.

Having said all that, I think it's good that you take the time to read our reviews, and good to see that you're willing to accept criticism.

bob's an arse anyway. he probably secertly hates jackarse...

i found the show alright. it kept me going during my journey back from manchester.

jesus - its only radio, not some multi million pound production. do people who get bad reviews for their plays and films go and complain to the reviewer asking why they got such a sh-ite review? learn by your mistakes. asking bbc chat last night, they said moyles show had been rubbish for 1 and half years...

time for some new stuff. but im happy with what moyles is doing. just listening to the chat and banter.
