Ha, maybe I should try that one more often!

You can if you want to be cut off from the rest of the world (apart from this board, obviously..)

I much prefere country life to city life and I experiance both so I shold know. Like Lewis says you can walk into places and they know exactly what you want. I only have to walk through the door in the Red Lion and I hear Eddie the land lord saying "Stella, Simon?"

Nooo, not Stella! Gnat's p*ss that stuff is!

What you need is a Charlie Wells pub that does Red Stripe and Carling, then you have the best choice.

The Dixie Arms does Bud on tap, which is nice, and at £2.30 a pint it's not bad. It's the cheapest premium in the village.

You don't have to be in the sticks to get that though, I walk into the off-license opposite the pub and the bloke has his hands on 20 Embassy before I'm through the door, and gives me credit if I ask. Then a quick hop across the road (I'm sure walking would be easier, I must try it) to the pub and there'll be a pint of Carling done for me by the time I reach the bar....

Either this means that it's not just little villages where this happens, or I spend far too much time in the pub.

True. They normally recorgnise me in Steer's Beers on London Road where I go most nights to purchace some cheapo white cider.

It's not just that though, there's much more a sense of community at home because nearly everybody knows each other. It's a much more friendly environment.

I don't understand you timb, I really don't. You are very anti-smoker, but smoking weeds fine but you don't drink...

Whatever floats your boat.
