Looking at UCAS site, there are 9 suitable Uni's for me.

Bradford
Central England (Brum)
Coventry
Hull
Liverpool John Moores
Manchester
Northumbria (Newcastle)
Staffordshire
Swansea

So, any suggestions please people? Don't like to ask you all but I honestly don't know where to start choosing.

If one of the criteria you're looking at is "nice place" you can count out Coventry and Hull for a start.

When i chose it was based on the reputation of the course not the university. Mine is pretty high but the uni 's is shit (although it is the best new university(whatever that means) It really depends on what you want out of uni. Hope that helps

Hull Topher is actually supposed to be a really good Uni I think. Both my aunt (Lawyer) and cousin (accountant) went there, its out in the countryside and not far from the sea which is great! I don't know much about Hull city itself though, I guess I should look into that.

Sam, Hull is a good uni but the town is full of t***ers. There are some good bits but i have never got on with the place.

Exactly, I don't know about uni's, I've never really looked into it, 'cos I'm not going, I was just going on the actual place itself. Ididn't notice anyone trying to defend Coventry... :wink:

Never been one of those places that doesnt seem to draw me to it plus i dont think ive ever met anyone from there

My Dad went to Coventry. I think it's a shithole.

Im from newport and iv visited both galmorgan and swansea but i found cardiff the best iv gone to so far, but thats for what i want to do, which is Design!

i just got my offer through from glamorgan yesterday after going for an interview.

been there twice now, uni looks great and its all on 1 campus. sports facilities look brilliant which im happy about.

as for the pub crawl adam mentioned, the students said its good to get out to cardiff because the same 5 pubs for 3 years gets very boring!

only 15 minute train journey to cardiff though.

i may see you there.

Some people stay near work in the week then travel home at weekends, my mate works in Liverpool, but still comes back to MK every weekend.
