I was lying in bed ill last night and I thought I'd give this 24 craze thats going on a watch to see what it's really like. I'd seen clips of it before but really never properly got into it. So I watched it on BBC 3, thinking I may get into it.
WHAT A LOAD OF HYPED UP BALLS.
So the actual show itself is OK. Nothing to write home about. Too slow. It's like a film, but rather than taking 2 hours to watch it takes 24 hours.
And the story line itself isn't up to much.
Yeah I'd watch it if it was on, but I wouldn't make a special point in watching it.
But what worries me the most is what came on after 24 on BBC Three last night.
Pure 24.
This is where a studio audience is setup, with a presenter and two 'celebrity' guests and they discuss what they thought of the latest 24 episode and what may happen next.
Let me point out, the two celebrities were Natile 'Im so not funny' Casey and Steve 'Am I actually a celebrity' Mackenna. Did he not used to do entertainment news for Newsbeat?
Anyway - this show was like a geek fest. And when they got to the following discussion I turned over in complete shock:
"Mr X (cant remember the characters name) revealed in this weeks episode that his password is hendrix. What do YOU think YOUR favorite characters password is?"
WHO CARES!
Thankfully I found Nevermind the Buzcocks on BBC 2.
So - any 24 fans here?!
David
