But what did you think?

Will you be tuning in next Saturday? Did Vernon Kay do a good job as presenter?

is this the end for Chris Evans. This show has been a complete and now i can talk with hindsight because i have the poor job of trying to sit through the show. It makes Man O Man look like The Usual Suspects. Are you a babe or a minger, surely that has got to be the most stupidest tackiest flimsiest excuse of a quiz since push the pint. Push the Pint had all the excitement of a horse taking a dump (though when Eddie thinks of it he gets slightly aroused but we'll leave bestiality on the shelf shall we). Then the monstrosity of a girl called Orla with a voice that T.a.t.U have tried to copy on their new single.
Because of this Channel 4 are now completely abandoning entertainment on Saturday nights as this Guardian piece writes.

"Channel 4 is abandoning entertainment programming on Saturday nights following the abject failure of Chris Evans' dating show Boys and Girls.
Danielle Lux, the Channel 4 head of entertainment, said she would concentrate her efforts on the network's long established Friday night comedy and entertainment zone and leave Saturday night to other programming departments.
Abandoning the search for Saturday night entertainment hits marks a major policy u-turn for the broadcaster, which has been looking for something to replace its successful Top Ten series for more than a year.
Ms Lux and the Channel 4 director of programmes, Tim Gardam, had high hopes for Boys and Girls, for which Evans' independent production company UMTV is said to have been paid £500,000 an episode.
But Boys and Girls proved an expensive ratings flop, averaging just 1.2 million viewers in its 9pm slot, and was dumped out of peak time to a 10.30pm spot after only a month.
Last Saturday the show had 1.1 million viewers from 10.30pm.
"[My department's] focus is on comedy and entertainment on Friday night. The rest of Channel 4 is focusing on Saturday night," Ms Lux said, speaking at the Production Show.
"Friday is when viewers come to Channel 4 for comedy and entertainment, whether its Derren Brown or The Book Group," she added.
However, Ms Lux did not rule out a recommission for Boys and Girls. "This definitely doesn't mean Boys and Girls isn't coming back," she said."

LIKE HELL IT WILL COME BACK.

looks like mr evans comeback behind the camera never really took off. he firstly decided to work with chris moyles - which didnt really work - but really its the face infront of the camera that didnt work - chris looked out of place and should stick to radio and this sky one voiceovers that i keep hearing.

boys and girls was good - and kay is a good presenter. oh well he'll be back on t4 rather quickly unless he's got 'other' projects to do. the only problem was the women in the airline uniform with horrible voice. im up for sending 100,000£ in a week with someone fit - just will be a shame to see it go.

chris evans will finally come to his senses and get back on the screens. but will people like him? i ask - would be people like to see a return of tfi friday - one of the class programmes on friday night tv. boys and girls was put on a crap time when everyone is out getting drunk on the town.

as your face or mine - with june sarpong and that other bloke that looks like one half of adam and joe - it has to be the most vain programme ive ever seen in my life. the audience research people must be dragging people off the street to watch that. i got randomly sent tickets to this pile of * a few months back without actually asking

channel 4 were wrong to let him go in the first place, chris evans was class when presenting tfi friday - wish that would come back. 8)

I didn't think it was too bad. I thought it was a good idea for a game show but it could of been better.

ahh here goes the inevitable

Boys and Girls, Chris Evans' ambitious comeback show that was panned by the critics and flopped in the ratings, has been axed after just one series.
Channel 4 chief executive Mark Thompson defended Channel 4's decision to commission such a "big, experimental" show for Saturday nights but confirmed Boys and Girls "will not be back".
He admitted the show, in which 100 boys and 100 girls competed to win a £100,000 prize, had been "too narrowly focused" on a youth audience to work as a Saturday peak time show. Mr Thompson said from now on Channel 4 would concentrate its efforts on finding alternatives to the "large scale, obvious entertainment offered by BBC1 and ITV1" on Saturday nights.
"I wouldn't call [Boys and Girls] a failure. It was certainly an experiment to do something big on a Saturday night. People who liked Boys and Girls really liked it," he said. "Maybe the programme was in some ways too narrowly focused on a certain audience in age terms to be a really big success for us. It will not be back."
Boys and Girls, which was made by Evans' production company UMTV and launched amid much fanfare at the beginning of March, struggled in the ratings from the outset.
The show's style, such as its70s-style high camp studio setting, was reminiscent of previous Evans hits such as TFI Friday. There were also typically brash features such as "Babe or Minger", in which audience members had to guess which label they were given by the opposite sex in order to win a prize. Boys and Girls was dumped from peak time to 10.30pm when its initial ratings of about 1.1 million viewers failed to grow significantly.
Channel 4 is understood to have paid £500,000 an episode for the 12-part series - a big gamble that has not paid off. However, the broadcaster continues to work with Evans, who is developing an entertainment show with the working title Live from Other Peoples' Homes. Mr Thompson said Channel 4 was moving away from entertainment on Saturday nights. "We should look at interesting, upmarket, thought-provoking alternatives," he said. There may be some US entertainment in there but it should be aimed at people who look at Saturday night TV and think there's not enough on."
