Presenters of Channel 4's ailing Ri:se show, Colin Murray and Edith Bowman, are to reunite as hosts of a new Radio 1 weekend show.
Murray left the breakfast show last year and Bowman is leaving shortly.
The pair will now front a Saturday morning show on Radio 1, from March 29, taking over the 10am slot filled by Scott Mills.
Murray is currently presenting an evening show for the station, but is expected to move to another programme when DJ Zane Lowe is freed from his XFM contract.
Bowman is new to the station, and has been fronting a show for Capital FM with her friend Cat Deeley.
A Radio 1 spokesman said: "Colin and Edith are both massive music fans and gig fanatics, and will front a show featuring great new music, competitive banter and a healthy dose of filthy gossip."
Murray joked: "Obviously, it's nice to work with Bowman at Radio 1 because we're good mates. I think, however, the show will only work if she sleeps over at mine on a Friday.
"I'd like to think the show will suit everyone from the football fan to the eager shoppers. We aim to take things as far as we can during daylight hours.
Bowman said it was her childhood dream to work at Radio 1. She added: "To say we're a little bit excited is an understatement."
