PM is the same principle as posting on the board just not a wide audience hence the Private part. So if you post normally on the board then PM shouldn't be any trouble.

If it means not loading the board up with random chatter and you can do that with each other still then surely the effort of trying out can't be that hard and it would solve some of the headaches.

A few other people actually, Hedwig's been PMing me saying she wants to set up a threeway convo between me and her a S-Sister, but You Can't!

If you want to set up like a "multiple" PM thing, just swap email addresses, you can send them to all the recipients you like...

I agree though, most of the posts are crap today. I think schools should start staggering lunch hours so that they can't be online at the same time.

I've finally finished reading all new posts in general. I started at 12:40, so in between PM'ing, which to be fair has slowed me down considerably, its taken me 3 hours to read stuff that had no relevence to me whatso ever. Well I shouldn't have bothered, I was warned, I hear you all cry. But this is a message board and I like to know whats going on. How do I know what has had a relevent post and what hasn't?

I don't want to go over what has already been said but be fair guys, you have to be considerate to other people. If you really must post silly stuff to each other can you at least keep it to one thread, that would take less time to go through. The point about PMing meaning you can't read the board at the same time, well I just managed it, and it wouldn't have taken half so long if everybody had done that in the first place. I'm not gonna be b1chy about it, its done, and I know I haven't been totally blameless at other times but I don't think anybody can claim that really. But you have no idea how much it would be appriciated if you didn't do it, and considered others who can't come on the board during the day and have this rubbish, moaning and b1tching about this rubbish and restrictions that shouldn't have to be there to log onto. Come on guys, a message board is like anything, a bit of give and take please?

our hotmail never used to work at school, but yahoo always has. we were taught to set up an email account in ICT!

I don't understand why people schools should try and block hotmail? What's the harm in sending emails?

Its rediculous, especially when they issue everyone with a school email anyway. As far as i know, at our school hotmail, yahoo and every other email site you could think of are all blocked. I think the reason is they don't like IM'ing, but you have to download the software to do that anyway.
