2 goals to Southampton, 0 goals to Wolves, 1 own goal by Butler, and 1 gutted, defeated little Sam. :cry:

I consol myself with the fact that we had such a good run, to beat Newcastle was amazing for us, Leceister are a very good team who deserve to go Prem at the end of this season, and then theres the usual 'the league is more important anyway'. We played well first half, but second half they woke up and were all over us, we didn't stand a chance. Nevermind, eh? Tis only a game, its not like we would of actually won the cup is it? Just enjoying the ride. Do I sound convincing? Didn't think so.

To be fair, Southampton didn't exactly win the game, Wolves lost it, a soft goal and an own goal.

Maybe I'm very slow, but I hadn't heard that yet. Ha! Saw that coming...

Wilkinson had won just two league matches in 20 games at the helm as Sunderland slumped to two points adrift at the bottom of the Premiership

The club's board announced on its website "that it is in the best interests of the club and its supporters to make a change immediately".


Still, I hope they don't go down, purely for the derbys, they're great and Middlesboroughs never the same, they cancel the game till they've got like 6 extra players for a start...

In Europe Arsenal suck. Manchester(comfortably through stage 1 and 2)United aren't, i'm willing to bet that Everton will do better in europe than Arsenal next year O-O here a pair of glasses for Arsene(i didn't see it) Wenger after his ugly "hardman" defender went down like a sack of shit after the italian genius Totti merely flicked him. Both jeffers and Keown are a pair of ugly cheaters

I don't fancy our chances to be honest, I hate having to rely on other results. If we weren't relying on Leverkeusen then I would be much more optimistic.

Leverkuesen have apparently put out a weakened side...
