it's also running on the normal 6667 ports on irc.drlnet.co.uk

The reason it's on 8080 is for those on University or work filters that block port 6667. Less chance that they will block port 8080.

I tried port 80 but it would of had to be run as root. plus there was a webserver on that port.

Can you run IRC on port 21 because FTP works fine from here.

Been a good in Chat tonight. Most people in there than ever before, admitedly only four at most from here, the rest from #tommyboyd. Nice little invasion they did there.
