a crap 1 xtra act took the piss out of westcountry people tonight on the colin murray show. So i sent an email saying that their record was shit and how it is ironic that if a devon or cornwall person slagged off black phrases we would be considered racist.

he commented that i should 'get a life you porker'

now i admit that i have been a major * in the past. Nowdays however i'm much more careful with my words. And the valid issues that i raised, which i'm sure others would agree with were once again treated like dog shite.

its quite clear that radio 1 dj's are taught to slag the shit out of their own audience upon training (which at time appears never to be completed).

they may be big shots now, but they better realise that the station figures are slipping and there are plenty of decent dj's ready to replace them.

well, in the first instance i agree with you that it is double standards about the whole racism thing, but equally it applies to the welsh i suppose who get mocked quite a bit and that is seen as 'ok'. moyles does it sometimes in a rather indirect way. rather than contact the show concerned you would probably get a better reaction with a complaint to the bbc itself or the ITC or whoever deals with it.

there are two postcodes to the same address. i think its so the post office can sort the post from the listeners etc.

edith from rise will be joining up with colin to present the saturday slot, scott mills is currently presenting. think its at the end of march.

i agree. scott mills is good during that time. what are the people at radio one doing? letting moyles go, then giving it to theakston who did a poor job. surely mills should be given this slot. he's wasted early in the morning...

Anyway, I think Scott's very good on Saturday mornings, but he's also brilliant on the breakfast show. He should get it permanently.

i do find colin rather funny, i really enjoy listening to his show and am rather dissapointed over my treatment. It was a tounge and cheek remark which fell on deaf ears.
