i have to say that this is nuts. my problems with this are threefold:

1. slightly-bigger-than-they-should-be avatars have been around for ages, why is this being addressed now?

2. notice how my name was first on chris' list? is this because someone had an issue with my avatar recently? i think so. point your blame now.

3. we are set to lose/change some great avatars here. such as gaspodes, i mean, what a legendary av. (and i really really like my av too)

how about if you think someones avatar is an issue then have a poll on it to see if other users have a problem with. that would be more sensible and diplomatic in my opinion.

please rethink this

maybe it's something to do with the fact that yours was reset and then you put it back up still greater than the allowed size.

if the rules are changed i have no problem, but don't blame me for the rules someone else made up.

maybe if you weren't always so quick to have a go at me i wouldn't be so annoyed with you and feel like pointing out your infraction in public

Avatars that are too long make the page unnecessarily long (especially on short posts)

Avatars that are too wide expand the name section giving less space to the message and, again, make the page longer

I agree Gem. I mean I really dont see why people are moaning. I had one of the avators that was too big so I changed it. It does make peoples post too long and also connection speeds slower
