didnt the radio 1 news text say something like 68% of people who voted now back the war and 32% didnt?

In the Gulf War the SAS were tasked with assasinating Saddam if I remember rightly, but the operation was called off. Bet this time it won't be!

No, no, no (Oh go, I'm doing what I do best - digging a hole :) ) what I meant is you're not famous, you are not heard, whether you are for or against the war.

So you are how I affectionately put it "Joe Dickhead" (or Joe Average in this case.) So am I, so is Adam, Morals, Gaspode, most other people.

Sorry if I offended...

i take deep offense to the name joe. whatever happens the war is going ahead now and all you can hope for is that as few people die as possible.

weapons? how many innocent people died in serbia when we bombed them? very few. and they had a much better equiped military

the military personel involved have a clear mandate to avoid civilian casualties as much as possible.

Now excuse me for being cynical here but we only get told what they want us to know. I dint realise they had killed so many people in the last g war until recently. However while technology has advanced fate doesnt advance with it and inevitably innocent people will die. I think Adam made the point about the percentages now swinging in favour of the war i find this suspicious to say the least. How is it that after so long people are now in favour at exactly the time we going to do it? Statistics like this do not allow for a measured answer and therfore do not accurately portray the general publics opinion.
After all this ranting i would like to state that i am in favour of getting rid of Saddam and if war is the only means so be it. However i do not agree with destroying the country and the people standing in the way in order to complete the objective.

what's with the /\/\?

people are fickle and they're also giving up. an op ed piece in my school paper hihglighted the futility in resistance now. it's sad but true.

Apparently he spilt Dr Pepper on his keyboard and he lost the use of his keyboard. However he still managed to post.

His sig this morning said he's Dr Peppered his keyboard. Now it says he's got a new keyboard, so I guess that explains it.

no, the wasted dr pepper is a bigger travesty. i was so upset by the war last night that i drank 12 cans of the stuff. actually, i would have done that regardless. i absolutely LOVE dr pepper.

the spillage only affected keys on the right side of my keyboard. the M key, the Return Key, and the Shift key were all affected aswell as all my delete keys. Nothing will ever stop me posting

it was actually only a very small amount of Dr Pepper but it managed to get between the contact sheets and the real bugger was that it happened just before a lecture so when i came to clean it out 3 hours lecture the contact sheet was encrusted.

there is a reason i own four keyboards, though only one actually functions. i now have a little area for my dr pepper that prevents that type of spillage.

anyhow... back to the matter at hand. claire short-- she bites!

i think claire short mirrors my view really kind of against it but not enough to warrant a real stand. now its time to stop waiting an hope its quick.

it won't be quick though. i hope that few human lives are taken in this conflict but a two week war seems overly ambitious. this isn't france circa 1940.

8O I have been watching news 24, for the past hour...... and what i have realised, no matter how many people disagree with the war in iraq, it is still going to go ahead!!

But what i dont understand is that they are meant to be waiting for 48 hours before the armed forces of the UK and US move forward, so........ why have the started bombing in the 'no-fly' zone???? (you may think i am dizzy..... but there again i am!!).

All i can say is that even if you dont agree with the war in iraq (like myself) we all need to support our..... the British Men and Women that are out there........ (this is not meaning that u are supporting the politions/men in ties!!).

I have friends that are in the Armed forces and all i can say is 'God' be with them (in the forth coming 'blood bath')!!...... they are not doing this for the government, but because it is there jobs!!........ There fighting for you, me, them and the next generation of people through out the world! :)

we have been bombing airforce targets within iraq since like forever, it's obvious to just step these up a bit
