the word scud is being used in the media much as the word hoover is. technically they probably aren't scuds

there is a chance they werent Scuds however the description used suggest they were and weapons simlar to them

yeah he still has mobile scud units but i wasnt aware the UN had told him to destroy them as they are only medium range missiles.

I know. There were bottles thrown at the one in brum. What really made me laugh was that the kids who were doing it didnt get arrested or anything like that. All they got is an unauthorised absence from school lol

The protestors blocked off the road outside Somerfield near the Peace Gardens where the buses go yesterday. The funny thing was there were old dears stood at the bus stops waiting for busses when they could see that there was no chance of the bus being able to get through!

Something I just posted on another forum, but I impressed myself with it so I thought I'd post it here too.

I was in Somerfield today at about 12:30 and I noticed that nearly all the protestors outside were all school kids. Now call me sinical if you want, but don't you think that the kids are just using this 'protesting' as an excuse to bunk off school? Also being the age they are I'm sure they don't really follow the polotics of the situation. They're bound to say that we shouldn't go to war just to jump on the band wagon.

I also think that a lot of these so called war protestors don't really know the ins and outs of the situation. I could be wrong but I believe that these protestors are only protesting because they don't like the concept of war and don't know the polotics of why war is or isn't necessary.

Don't get me wrong, I'm more or less against the war myself, but I don't really feel that I have enough information to protest against the government, they know things that I don't, so I should trust them to make the right decision. Also, the govenment arn't listening to public opinion so even if I was to protest it would be totally futile.
