Re: the poll about whether or not the swear filter should be removed.

So the filter takes out all those oh so bad words we're not meant to use. Ooooooh.

Fine. Let's make up our own swear words then. That way the filter can't block them out, some people won't have a clue what we're talking about, and we can go on happily using expletives.

The thing is that technically they wouldn't be swear words they would be words without meanings. unless they were just words that were subsituted for words that are in the swear filter.

As I've said before, swear words are only swear words because people find them offensive. If everybody just chilled out a bit then swear words wouldn't exist.

But when people swear and use the words like normally then it losses the effect and makes it seem like people have nothing better to say.

Sometimes it just fills a gap in the sentence. If you can't think of an adjective, you just say a swear word, lol. It just shows a lack of vocabulary sometimes, but erm I do it so hey.

yeah but swearing often lets out frustration an anger as well. its better than punching doors cos that hurts your hand.

My sister was pissing me off once so I punched her bedroom door. It broke, there was a big hole in it, the bloody door was so flimsy. I didn't do that again.

see, i used to bash my head against the wall to relieve anger anf frustration, but then i bashed my head through the wall, and it got stuck in the drywall. it not only was painfull and bloody, but i also had to fix the wall. saying * a few times and maybe a shit or two is soo much easier. (and cheaper).
