Right, had a er, worrying phone call today off someone CLAIMING to be someone that I used to talk to absolutely years back - now, they were ringing from a withheld number & I deleted their number a few months back...

I've got a full home address and a first name, but no surname. Is there any way I can find out their telephone number without a surname? Rang 192, but they said they'd need a surname.

If you can try and get clues you can start playing him at his own game, try and be one step ahead and be suspicious of everyone. Think of everyone you know with that first name. Go to his house, knock on the door and that might scare him off (take a big mate.)

Having said that its probably just a mate playing a prank.

I don't answer withheld numbers.

Nah, however from my magnificent powers of deduction I've now managed to get hold of his name, address, mobile number, and home telephone number. He lives near Hull so going round there isn't really an idea.

Gonna ring up later & have a chat.....

Think he's just a twat. Tried ringing the mobile number I've got but it doesn't seem to work, or rather said "your call could not be connected" or something similar. Rang the house number & some woman answered who sounded confused... :S

Considering changing my mobile number as so many bloody nutcases have got it, loads of freaks I've met on Friday night.

I was considering posting it here as it is private, but there's still loons that read this I'm sure.

I wish!

I generally seem to only give my number out to total bloody idiots, got 29 missed calls off one guy within the space of a few days, he asked me out on Saturday - I said no. Sunday - I said no. Monday - I said no. Yet he STILL asks me out for Tuesday? Hmm.

If I ever have a really good chat with someone or I like them or they're not a total minger, somehow, I never give them my number or get theirs. Gutted.

Reminds me of the current pub joke. It has just come to light that a mate of mine I went to school with when we were in GCSE years and she used to walk home with this kid in the year below. Every day he used to ask her out, evry day she said no.

Anyway, one day she wanted to paint the farmhouse he lived in for her art coursework. He led her up a ladder into a barn and said "Get you tits out and give me head."

KNOB comes to mind...
