The place where everyone hangs out, chats, gossips, and argues

this was one of my favourite shows in the past few months. The dream team piss take had me giggling like a school girl. Will's wallet was very amusing too. The gay bar link was quite good (anyone remember the topic i posted a couple weeks ago? see i've still got it you feckers). If they barred gay people from bringing straight people into every gay club, our local one would be pretty empty. The bbc internal phone line thingy came up trumps. The week long viaduct rematch thing has provided more entertainment than most scripted ideas.

I think the show works better when chris feels tired, like in the old days when he didn't give a fig about pissing people off. Overall a cracking listen, less football chit chat, less long running gags and a bit more subversive. Whilst the majority of the audience may prefer more football chit chat etc I very much enjoyed the show today and reminded me of why i continue to listen to it even through the 'bad patches'.

Good analysis there stevo, and I have to say, I agree with everything you said. It really had this sort of laid-back, relaxed "come and join in our fun" sorta feel to it.

Superb :D

glad it wasn't just me, yeah much more laid back, less trying to perform on the part of chris (has anyone noticed that there has been a hint of peter kay mimicry latley on the part of chris?) Letting the comments fly and kicking serious ass today.

i was kinda laying into the fact that he has been trying to copy the peter kay style, doesn't really suit him.

i think its funny when you hear him and dave coming out with peter kay lines though "bit o' blue for the dads" i think he said the other week. makes me chuckle anyway

I agree with Bob's comments about the football banter that he made a while back. If people want to listen to football they should tune to talksport or five live. They don't want to know about a northern guy's opinions of football when he know's virtually nothing about it. I didn't hear a lot of yesterdays show, but I heard the last hour and a half or so and it sounded quite good. Keep up the good work Moyles.

Leeds could still be relagated. Highly unlikely, but still possible...

so ur saying moyles uses the football for a lot of his material.. shame - will have to just wait until the season begins. maybe he could start reporting on the tennis or indoor bowling?

The thing with viaduct is not so much the quiz itself, it's Chris's banter with the contestants that makes it funny.

friday was another great show. It definently followed on from thursday's show, lots of interaction with a relaxed childish feel to it.

Good to know, thanks!
