I fancy West Ham to go down. Be better for the premiership in the long run the talent would then have to be sold off. Theres talk of Joe Cole coming to Liverpool and would make a change to have a bit of flair in the side. While were on the subject 3-1 to Liverpool today- come on the reds!

djorkaeff has said he will retire if bolton go down. okocha said he will go an gundi bergsson is retiring. think campo is still only on loan from madrid an laville an ballesta are off anyway. mendy will definitely go anyway cos hes a genius so not much left. i think bolton will stay up though.

I still hope by some sort of miracle Leeds go down.

i'd like to see a rehaul of the relegation / promotion system. the bottom place in the prem should be relegated and the winning of div1 promoted. the second place div1 team play vs the second bottom prem team for their place in the premiership and the 3rd place div1 team play the 3rd bottom prem team for their place.

if you don't finish in the top 3 of div1 i don't think theres any way you can survive in the premiership. and this way quality teams are much less likely to be relegated such as west ham.

that'd be so damn funny, the dream scenario......... (sp!!!) leeds must beat everton to stay up, then everton go and trash em 6-0!

if leeds did go down they'd rip it out of moylesy!!!

Quite a good plan I reckon. Even if we make it up I can't see us stopping in Prem for more than one season, we haven't got the consistancy. I heard something on the radio the other week about an idea to extend the playoffs to position 8 in the league then have a mini-league to decide who goes up. Which is a crap idea.

as a spurs fan, i wouldnt mind relegtion, it beats mind numbingly boring pointless mid table mediocrity.

its strange because out of the play offs, 6th place always do well.

the cash boost from being in the premiership for even just one season should be able to help improve the club and so improve the chances of getting up again. presuming it is spent wisely that is. too many clubs bank everything on staying up once they get their and balance their books around that money. if they treated it as a one off payment and invested it wisely not as many would get screwed when they get relegated.

and yes if spurs get relegated at least we can get rid of hoddle :D

you have written some sh*t in your time timb but this is the worst. West Ham are not quality hence their relegation (unless you are from the Arsene Wenger school of the league is no barometer of teams quality).

The teams that finish in the bottom 3 should go down full stop it is essential that teams in the first division get the chance to come up an with your system potentially one team could change each year. West Brom have been out-classed this season but i am still happier for them to have come up than a team which has failed the season before.

my system gives them exactly that chance, they just have to earn it by beating the team they would replace. the idea that the bottom three should be relegated and replaced with 3 from the top 6 of division 1 no matter what seems pointless to me. the idea that the 6th place team in division one could survive in the premiership is a joke.

oh and i don't really care about west ham

both teams who let in more goals than tottenham this season were relegated and we were only 8 points away from relegation. things are looking good for next season
