aled i have a question, not sure if anyone else has picked up on this but i'm sure i just saw american joe on the tv.
have been off work with the flu all week and have discovered an amazing amount of scary daytime tv that i never knew existed to amuse myself with. one of these is bridezillas a "documentary" about new york couples planning their weddings. it features joe an american guy who has been made reduntant and is marrying a japanese girl. sounded very like the person who chris used to call.

Hi Aled, Silly question, Whilst in Aberystwyth this Saturday I popped into Caffi Morgan for a cup of coffee. Now, as silly as this sounds I ahve a question about a mirror. There is a huge mirror on the wall (on the right as you walk in the door) and it is so big that the frame goes up and disappears into the ceiling. My question is this....Was the mirror bought, realised it was too big and the ceiling cut away to make room for it OR was the mirror there and then a new, slightly lower ceiling fitted? Just wondering because me and my girlfriend and my mum and dad were trying to work it out. Sad I know, but there's not that much to do on a rainy afternoon in Aberystwyth!

The mirror was bought (years and years before we owned the cafe) to fill the wall which had a very high ceiling. Unfortunately it became too difficult to clean the old ceiling effectively so we had a new lower ceiling installed, which was a few inches lower than the top of the mirror. but well done on noticing it!
