it can't be done via CGI, cgi just generates HTML. javascript is how they would of done it. IE lets javascript do loads of things with your preferences. however , if you used a decent browser like http://www.mozilla.org you wouldn't have had this problem in the first place.

Don't use Mozilla, it's crap - slow, ugly and crap. If you want to try a different browser use Opera - it has loads of fantastic features, is recognised as one of the fastest browsers out there and it's just really rather good.

You don't have to pay for Opera if yo udon't want to. It has more than enough features for the average user.

Most REAL cretins use Mozilla.
