why is it that the english like winners, but not major winners?

in america it seems that everybody supports for the underdog, except when it's vogue to support the winners (like the yankees and lakers, WHO LOST! whoohooo!) but the british seem to support the better teams, but why hate manyoo or arsenal?

i'm interested. and incoherent.

It's a good question though - I guess everybody hates the Manchester Scum because they're all *, and Alex Fergusson deserves a good shoeing, and everyone apart from peolpe with taste hates Arsenal because they're arrogant as *.

agreed with morals that arsenal are the most arrogant * around and thats why everyone hates them. i think its more the fans i hate than the team though, although i do hate both.

United were still hated before they won anything largely cos they have always been a bunch of b*stards. i have nothing against arsenal but Wenger an Bergkamp are two of the most odious people ever to step foot on a football pitch. You always support the underdogs though cos its always funny seeing good sides lose (even better when it was madrid in europe an itv had already decided they had the trophy won).
