Go and watch Smokey and the Bandit (or was it part 2) to see lots of trucks smashing up tonnes of cars. Bit dated now though.

Not as if running over a car in a lorry is hard to do.

I think it's more of a case of running over the RIGHT car at the right time.
Wonder how many takes that scene took, or how many cars they went through making the whole movie for that matter!

i don't know if street racing is big in the uk like it is over here, but i guess the film makers were suprised by how many cars came out for the film. there are a few scenes where the sheer number of "rice rockets" are just amazing.

there were many racing stunts in the film that were impressive. yuo should all see it.

Running over a car in a lorry really wouldn't be hard to neither would it require many takes. With the level of professional stunt work and the amount of planning that goes it to it get it right it wouldn't take many takes if not indeed in one.

I can just see the cops/bad guys going "Sh*t, where'd those lorries go?? They must be hiding somewhere. Let's look in the sewers, not in that lorry park over there!"

I was going to post something about not being able to hide something the size of a lorry easily, then I remembered that other re-make, Godzilla. He (well actually, she) manages to hide in Manhattan with no problems.

Smokey and the Bandit was MTV's best car movie ever. Rightly so really.

What do you reckon the best car to ever appear in a movie or tv program was?
I'm tempted to say the car AutoMan drove in the short lived tv series (loved the idea of right angle turns) but if you look at it today, it's way too dated.

Similarly those bikes they rode in Tron. It's going to take me some time to think of an all time favorite.
