well... seeing as i've lived my entire life in california (the first 18 years in the state capital no less), this doesn't worry me much. i knew we were a joke, and this just lets the rest of the world see it. there are only a few serious contenders, but their chances are diluted by all the people looking to waste $3500.
i guess it's good that davis is gone (he's scum, has been for years), but it's a sad day when willie brown looks reasonable.

we are the 5th largest economy in the world.

see, following the power crisis of last year, the recession following the dot com bust, and the fact that dubya has pulled lots of federal subsidies, the economy is *. there are massive layoffs all over and tuition is being increased (i think ours went up 25%). that's why davis was recalled, he just got stuck in a bad situation. isa's an asshole for making us go through this.
