So much for Sven comparing The Incredible Hulk (Rooney) to Pele, he can't even tie his shoelaces properly! As for the disallowed goal, hmmm from the Ref's point of view It did look like whatsisname pulled the goalie down(what a great goalie he was by the way). We were very unlucky last night, although you just knew that we were going to lose once it went to pens. We sat back and defended too deep after we scored, we didn't create anything once Rooney went off and if we're being honest Portugal were the better team.

However, the ref hardly gave us a decision all night and ruling out that perfectly fair goal when his liner didn't just summed up his performance. Let's face it...he bottled it. He didn't have the nerve to give such a big decision against the hosts. If that had been Collina reffing, we'd be through now. We showed great spirit to come back in extra time after losing that goal but you can't blame Beckham for everything, the ball moved and it's just one of those things. I just hope Portugal don't go on to win the tournament cos they should be out now.

I totally agree with everything you said. Ian Wright is an utter fool. and I couldnt believe it... ALan Hanson... HANSON... nearly in tears.... jesus.
