I didn't even notice the Scottish accent and I'm not Scottish. I grew up in the Lake District though, and there were loads of presenters on local TV who are Scottish, yet still local... Hmmm. Scotland - closer than you think.
It's a gorgeous place, generally because there's hardly anyone living there - bit cold, but quite unspoilt.

I've never been to Scotland in my life. I'm actually appalled by that, because I get the impression it is a pretty amazing place.
