The place where everyone hangs out, chats, gossips, and argues

I think they should do kinda special playlists say 1 week a month or something, based around different themes but the same thing all the time would get as boring as if it were regular playlist.

Rap music week will be fun.... not :P

Err I LIKE rap... among many other types of music, I've kinda adopted an ethos John Peel would be proud of when it comes to music, give everything at least one listen.

maybe a few days a month, a whole week would be too much.

It would get very boring though, and only appeal to about 10% of the British population.

Surely you people must appreciate at least a small amount of urban music?

Put Moyles on 6 Music and it would be brilliant.

6 Music has excellent playlists, just rather dull DJs. Phil Jupitas is good, but since Moyles has been on breakfast I've listened to him rather than Phil Jupitas.

I listened to Phill Jupitas on listen again and he is rubbish.

I agree that If Radio one only appealed to one audience type then that would be a bad business plan but it would not necesarrily be boring if thats the type of music you love.

Personally I'd like it to play Indie, rock and they could also keep the cheesy pop (you know, Girls aloud etc) but I really would LOVE it if it dropped anything hip hop/R&B based.

People do not have to like "Urban" stuff, I don't mind if people don't like indie/rock - that's their MISTAKE! ha ha

I never said you have to like it, I just find it quite odd that even indie rockers cannot appreciate urban music.

I can appreciate it i.e.I can understand that some people would like it cos everybody's different but personally I don't like it - when I say 'it' of course I don't mean everysingle song in that genre as there as some that I like a bit but still not enough to actually buy a copy.
