So I've just walked home from Glasgow city centre. Which last time I looked it up was at least 8 miles. And it's freezing out there.

In my Frankie Boyle DVD, he asks if any Scottish people are in the audience, then asks where they're from - quite a few say Edinburgh or Glasgow, then some fella says 'Paisley' and Boyle says 'oh, he's just topped you in shit town top trumps there!' Made me laugh anyway.

14.2km according to google maps. At least it confirmed I walked the quickest way. Which might be the quickest, but does take in all the sights of Paisley Road West. If you think Paisley is bad (and it is if you happen to walk through the west end as I did) then you should try Govan and Ibrox.

It's a well known fact that the big two football teams here live in possibly the two biggest shiteholes in Glasgow - just in case you think I'm being biased.

I'm glad the roads and streets were totally dead last night. I probably only saw a handful of people. I'm sure I met one guy in Ralston that was the same guy who told me in Glasgow not to bother waiting for the bus as it wasn't coming. He was sitting in a bus stop looking knackered. Poor guy, hope he got home alright.

I've had a habit of expecting people I know on internet forums to look something like their avatar if I ever meet them, but that's just silly. I've never judged them on it, even if it does tend to reflect at least a part of their personality (they wouldn't have picked it if it didn't).
