I had Marmite sandwiches today.

1) Cracking film

Absolutely agreed, it's brilliant.

2) Heath Ledger - much respect

Yeah, and not just because he's dead.. a superb performance.

3) The imax filmed scenes were incredible

I sort of wish I'd seen the IMAX scenes, but Birmingham is a way to go for a film.

4) It's 45 mins too long

It is long, but not unjustifiably.

5) When going to the imax, don't sit in the front five rows - by the time the film was over, I felt I had been on a five month sea voyage... knackered.

I wouldn't sit in the front five rows at any cinema.. towards the middle is always best.

Thats just reminded me actually, the first time I saw it I was sat on the end and what with it being a long film - when it came time to get up (in order to let the others out) my legs were glued in 'sit down' position, I almost fell over some poor lass on the steps because my legs absolutely would not bend/balance that quickly. I'm never sitting on the end ever again.

As a child I watched as my older sisters fooled a young neighbour girl into thinking it was a chocolate icelolly they were offering her. She was quite unhappy with the taste and soon discovered that wasn't chocolate! Sort of like how my face crumpled like a piece of wadded up tissue when I had a bite of toast smeared with a dab of marmite. *retch* As our reactions were similar, I'm convinced Foots' is right in his description.

I recently purchased for Mrs B a limited edition champagne Marmite, which had a gold front label with I Love you on it. She didn't like it though, as it stained the sheets.

He has earned mine too.

He earned mine more when I watched the old Batman movie back. I've always thought Jack Nicholson did a fantastic job of playing The Joker and figured he would be a hard act to follow. Heath Ledger's performance makes Jack Nicholson's look amateur now. Although, admittedly its possible the older movie just hasn't aged well. I used to think Michael Keaton was a brilliant Batman, but Christian Bale's is miles better.
