I think I have already mentioned enough my thoughts on England but it is a fact that compared to Scotland they have been far more successful. By the same token I know what its like to have more successful neighbours so I was being sincere when I said take your pleasure while you can.

I don't think anyone thinks that England as a nation should win anything. But it is entirely reasonable for football fans in England to think that England's football team should win some of the matches they have recently failed to win, because the fact is that the players available to Steve McLaren are probably better than the players the opposing managers have to choose from. But it isn't happening - and the only qualification for winning a football game is to have scored more goals than the other team, so it is ludicrous to say that "we" think "we" deserve to win when "we" haven't met that single criteria. Criterion. Whichever. Its disappointing, but any suggestion that England have deserved to win those matches is just silly.

yeah, england should be top of that group, no question as they have the best group of players out of any of them. im just saying that when the world cup and euros come about, the media and many fans will be on about 'this is our year' and 'its now or never' as they do every time. which i think is wrong as they are just building themselves up for glorious failure and an anger to which ever scapegoat they choose (poor old beckham and sven last year)

scotland is good as in many of our games, we go in as underdogs with nothing to lose. just hope that doesnt change with our latest world ranking and our group position.

I'm not sure, the competition is actually called the UEFA European Championships so i am unsure as to why they are included.

Some countries in their region don't recognise Israel as a valid state. It escapes some dodgy political issues.
