At first I was pleased that Twitter killed the News of the World, but now I've thought about it, News Corporation is the big problem and I just think the News of the World is being used as a sacrifice in order to secure Murdoch the right to buy BSkyB.
Yeah Prescott says it's just a 'management stunt'. I hope it doesn't distract from a) How damaged the bid must surely be, and b) the inquiry which must have teeth to expose wrongdoings across the industry, including PCC. Jeremy *unt - I don't know what it takes to get him to come out from the huge rock he's hiding under. His silence is deafening. But Avaaz have saved him from needing to care about the bid til September or 'a few weeks' it seems.
So much going on, I just hope this is a defining week in how the country sees the might of Murdoch, and that we finally stand up to him. No confidence in Tories though.
