all this talk about hair styles is making me really wonder what i can do with my hair. it's growing back curly and i can't cope. what the hell do you do with curly hair?!? it's sort of poofy on top and really curly in the back and about 2" long. i miss flat, straight hair.

You're going to need to let it grow a bit Kendra. Mine is curly which is great when it's over 5 inches long. You can then get some straighteners and have it straight or curly as the mood takes you. I'm not an expert but I'm guessing it's too short for extensions yet?

Curly is great (eventually, as S4B said), but "poofy" sounds like you have an issue with frizz. One word - Products. There are some great anti-frizz/curl controlling products on the market, and they do make a difference - but basically, I reckon s4b's right, it's got to get longer before it will get better.

I would probably be inclined to go with a narrow scarf tied round the head like a hairband with long ends dangling, I always like the slightly hippy look. Not sure how it would sit with your mod persona though!

on further inspection, my hair's probably only an 1 and 1/2". it's really not long enough to do anything but stick up and out. i am thinking about shaving it (ala topher) or putting wax in it. i'd bleach it, but i'm lazy.

sure. i used to use pomade, but i hated that i couldn't get it out of my hair.
