Yeah its a real suprise that a former drug addict, alcoholic suffers complications when undergoing a major operation in his 50's. I feel for his family and relatives and its sad to see someone die so young, but you can't expect to abuse your body for all those years then live till your 100.

i don't get why people are so shaken up. nor puts up some valid points. i mean, come on! he's just some old guy who died. it happens everyday! just because he sang like a girl, doesn't mean he deserves more sympathy now.

just because it isnt your type of music doesnt make the bloke any less of a genius. anyone who makes a hit record does well (except las ketchup) so to make many is brilliant....

it's not that he's not my type of music (though he isn't), but i mean, people go through this and worse on a daily basis and die all the time. how is maurice gibb different than anybody else? it's like why did people give mickey mantel the kidneys when he totally didn't deserve them? purely because he's a celebrity. what's it worth though? jack.

There was a lot of people dies last year too, I noticed. Not all musicians though. I always find it funny how whenever someone famous dies (possible exception = myra hindley) bob geldof is always on telly saying what a great person they were.
