missing private messages

i got 2 emails today saying i had 2 private messages but when i got here the top thing said "you have no new messages". I clicked just in case to check and there wasnt any new ones. So can anyone verify they sent anything to me today?

Just going back to this, as Chris said the user can choose to delete the PM before it is read so why not in your options don't you just set the PM settings to "Pop-Up Notification" rather than "E-Mail Notification" which means you know the message will be there in your inbox because the pop-up appears when you log in to the board... I hope that made sense :?
