neither really, though I have no sympathy for her, if she had a leg injury or whatever BEFORE the race, she should have had the sense not to run it.

Admittedly never having been in that position before myself, I would imagine that being entered into any event for the Olympics and being the favourite to win gold, even if you are not 100% it must be an extremely hard decision to pull out - sometimes your heart rules your head.
