Hi. I really want to know more about the band who do those funny, up-tempo, country sounding versions of popular songs. I don’t think Chris Moyles has ever mentioned who they are. Does anyone know? Is it Weird Al?

The Beck one, which I especially like was played today. If there is a longer version I’d love to track it down.

So is it Weird Al then? I had followed your link to his site before I started this topic but I couldn’t find info on covers. Do you have the CD with "Loser" on, Dickie? Is it good?

I'm not exactly sure what album's the songs are on that chris is playing. Have a look round the weird al site and see but otherwise i'd just send and enquiry or an e-mail on the site and they'll be able to tell you for sure.

I went to http://www.yankovic.org/ and found that the song is called "Alternative Polka" and is on the album "Bad Hair Day".

Maybe you could put that info in your Frequently Used Music topic.
