Haven't seen it. Wasn't Phoenix Nights effectively a spin-off from That Peter Kay thing anyway?

I loved it, I've heard a lot of negative reviews for it, but it's actually turned me into a proper fan, I liked him before, not all that much, but Max and Paddy has got me completely hooked!

People are just too hard to please these days!

That Peter Kay Thing were all stand alone episodes and the club was one of the episodes so they then made a series out of it. They could have done it from nearly any of them though...

The DVD commentary on That Peter Kay Thing amuses me "thats a good character that..." "wheres that in Bolton?"

its great. they show 'the services' quite alot on E4 in between repeats of friends

the services wasn't part of That Peter Kay Thing though.... it was the Comedy Lab wotsit but it is included in the DVD.

I didnt know how involved Craig Cash was in it all. I'd love to see him writing with Peter Kay.

Didn't they write some 'Early Doors' stuff together after Caroline quit?
By Steve.
#162495
I thought that, but according to Craig Cash on the Early Doors DVD commentary, the show wasn't gonna be made until Peter Kay rang up the BBC and recommended it to them.

So thank you Peter! :)
