Thought it was quite a funny start. Chris saying it would be a rubbish day as he was on cleanding duty from 10am, and how Colin and Edith would be on till 4am when "JK an" would start.

It'll probably be reporters, although they may cut back some of the news/sports monkeys at Newsbeat. It'll be harder to justify Newsbeat cuts as its a large part of R1's public service remit.

The cuts already seem to have been started at 5Live, they had the newsreaders reading the travel this afternoon, instead of separate travel reporters.

Mark Thompson seems a little bit of an idiot. If the BBC really want to save money, stop hiring people like Graham Norton for massive ammounts of money and putting him on a stupid dancing programme.

I'm not sure that it was a cut, but the joke was made that it was. All the travel readers seem to have gone AWOL recently.

Not all of 5Live is moving to Manchester, a significant part of the station is staying in London, in order for them to still be able to get top politicians in.
